Role:
As a UX/UI Designer at TBWA, you play an important role in understanding our clients’ needs in order to create design solutions that are usable and coherent across multiple platforms and channels.
For this role, you will primarily be working with the team and our main clients in telling a great destination story and enhancing the delivery of our content to our key audience on our owned digital touchpoints. You play a vital part in the overall consumer experience with the brand by creating an engaging experience that is informative and inspiring for the users. You can also expect to work with different clients and experience different types of project. You will be expected to handle other design-related projects which ties closely with your primary role as and when, supporting our internal teams within TBWA.

You are able to design for a content-rich website.
You are able to understand how people intuitively search for information, and design for content discoverability and engagement. You understand the importance of defining a strong information hierarchy, whether it is grouping like items clearly or designing navigation systems that promote easy exploration, making information-dense sites welcoming and engaging.
You are able to achieve a balance between designing for the users and the business.
You can distil briefs to understand the business needs and translate them into use cases and user experience requirements. You have a strong curiosity for users’ needs and employ a user-first approach to everything you do, conducting usability tests to understand what works and what doesn’t before proposing design solutions to clients. You are required to collaborate with the team to deliver work that have business impact without compromising on design integrity.
You understand what it means to design for visual impact.
You are cognisant that beautiful imagery plays a big role in inspiring audiences when it comes to travel research and will design for maximum visual impact to inspire them. At the same time, you are also mindful of the hierarchical importance within your design. You are always mindful of where the audiences are in your designs, taking into consideration differences in devices, and hence the font types and sizes across different languages.
You are independent and also a team player.
You are able to work independently when given a task, and also proactive when it comes to following up with projects and clients. You like to build strong working relationships with multi-functional teams and work collaboratively to bring solutions to the clients, under the supervision of a senior designer. You are honest in communicating your thoughts and open to giving and accepting constructive feedback. Working as part of a team, you are expected to be able to handle instruction taking when the situation calls for it and provide support to the greater team from time to time.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience as a UX / UI designer, or equivalent
- Comfortable in running various kinds of desktop and user research
- Familiarity in designing for responsive websites, taking a mobile first approach
- Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
- Ability to define and develop wire-flow of the website / mobile application
- Proficient in designing tools such as Figma and Sketch
- Have an eye for visual design
- Able to develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function, features and look like
- Able to effectively and concisely communicate ideas and present design solutions to clients, demonstrate the thinking behind every design recommendation, incorporating feedback into subsequent revisions while retaining design integrity
- Familiarity in working with product managers and engineers
- Ability to provide detailed design specifications for the development team
