Roles & Responsibilities:
- Be the Subject Matter Expert in managing Red Hat JBoss, IBM WebSphere, and IBM MQ.
- Perform Ad-hoc root cause analysis and problem resolution.
- Research and recommend innovative and automated approaches for System administration tasks.
- Create and modify scripts to automate tasks using Shell programming.
- Actively involved in disaster recovery plan.
- Execute service and change requests from users.
- Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, security patches, hot fixes on servers.
- Participant and perform assistance in regular compliance and/or audit related activities.
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
- Remediate VA scan vulnerabilities, perform security assessments and harden system for continual improvements.
- Interface and collaborate with cross functional teams to facilitate system enhancement.
- Prepare written documentation and operating procedures for system enhancement.
- Maintain best practices in managing systems and services across all environments.
Requirements:
- Tertiary education (Degree or Diploma) in relevant field is preferred.
- Min 3 years of proven experience as a Middleware engineer, with a focus on Red Hat JBoss, IBM WebSphere, and IBM MQ.
- Strong understanding of application server concepts and technologies.
- Proficiency in installing, configuring, and administering Red Hat JBoss and IBM WebSphere application servers.
- Knowledge of IBM MQ messaging middleware, including queue managers, channels, and message queuing protocols.
- Familiarity with enterprise application architectures and deployment methodologies.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving middleware-related issues in a production environment.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Shell, Python, or PowerShell).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Certifications in Red Hat JBoss, IBM WebSphere, or IBM MQ preferred.
