Our client is one of Energy Trading companies whom has a strong presence in Asia, and they are looking for hire a Chartering Executive, responsible for managing the chartering and shipping operation activities related to the transportation of petroleum, gas and coal cargoes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage existing client relationships whilst bring on board new accounts and develop new growth opportunity across a wide geographic region.
- Negotiate and finalize charter party agreements for cargoes, considering terms and conditions that align with the company's interests.
- Develop brokers and operators’ relationship. Liaise with brokers, charterers, port terminals, stevedores, agents etc. to ensure all shipments run smoothly.
- Gathering and developing market insights from sources and stakeholders to better anticipate market changes and develop opportunities.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of charter party agreements, including terms, conditions, and performance criteria.
- Plan and coordinate the movement of vessels engaged in oil and bulk transportation.
- Collaborate with ship owners, and brokers to secure suitable vessels for cargo transportation.
- Monitor vessel schedules and ensure timely departures and arrivals.
- Analyze and optimize voyage performance to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as trading, finance, and legal to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Studies with 3 years of experience in chartering or vessel operations
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and market dynamics.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Able to handle pressure and stress
- Strong team player, and able to work independently to deliver quality output.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
