SUSHISAMBA Singapore, a renowned fusion restaurant blending Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian flavors, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Account Payable to join our pre-opening team.
1. Job Purpose:The Accounts Payable professional will be responsible for managing and processing payments to vendors and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining strong relationships with vendors and supporting the financial operations of the restaurant.
2. Principal Accountabilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and resolve payment-related issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.
- Assist in month-end closing activities and financial reporting as required.
- Provide support to the finance team in other areas as needed.
3. Communication & Working Relationships:
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth processing of accounts payable transactions.
- Work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate financial records and support financial reporting requirements.
4. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Physical Requirements of the Job:
- The job of Accounts Payable may require long working hours, sitting for extended periods, and working under pressure to meet deadlines.
