Job Description
Our client, a Japanese logistics provider, is looking for a Shipping & Marketing Coordinator, to manage the procurement of quotations and rates from overseas agents, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure smooth shipping processes. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to marketing initiatives, promoting our services to potential clients.
- Liaise with overseas agents to obtain competitive quotations and rates for sea and air freight shipments.
- Maintain a database of rates and ensure accuracy and completeness of information.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas agents, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Communicate obtained rates promptly to the sea and air operations departments.
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote freight forwarding services.
- Identify potential business opportunities and contribute to the expansion of our client base.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to quotations, rates, and shipping contracts.
Job Requirement
- Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics, with a focus on procurement and coordination.
- Strong understanding of RFQ, international shipping regulations, Incoterms, and freight forwarding processes.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with shipping software and databases.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service to clients.
