Our client is a globally trusted partner providing reliable Data Centres across the world. Currently they are looking for a Senior/Project Manager to support the delivery of small to large scale data centre projects.
This role needs to work with other departments such as Design and Procurement Department to manage the project delivery. You are expected to manage your team to deliver the projects from the beginning to the end. And then handover the projects to the Operations Teams and end users/tenants.
about the job
- Overall in charge of the construction of projects and make sure projects completed within quality, safety, costs and time.
- Lead or assist in providing technical support and planning during pre-construction stage. Lead Deputy Project Managers and Engineers to come out of the costs and planning structure for prospective deal engagements.
- Lead (or assist) in the execution of approved projects’ quotation and/or tendering process.
- Work with asset owners, clients, consultancies, contractors, vendors to make sure project delivery.
- Site project management and track project schedule based on the approved schedule.
- Cost reports including forecasted cash flow of project expenditures, monitoring spending of cost against approved budget, forecast project expenditures, etc.
- Tracking and evaluation of Contractor Claims, Variations, Delay, EoT and Delay Damages
- Work closely with Safety Managers to ensure construction safety compliance.
skills & experience required
- Degree in Project Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Project Management of mission critical facilities
- Experience in managing Data Centre Greenfield Construction is ideal but experience in the construction of pharma/ microelectronics projects also highly desirable
- Clear understanding of commercial & financial processes (Invoicing, approvals etc).
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Willingness to travel for business trips.
