We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable L2 Systems Engineer to join our team in Singapore. This role requires comprehensive expertise in IT service delivery management, system and application support, and infrastructure monitoring across Windows and Linux environments.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, capable of handling 24/7 shifts encompassing night, morning, and afternoon schedules
Responsibilities:
- Provide round-the-clock technical support, managing Windows Server 2012 R2 / 2016 / 2019 and Red Hat Linux servers, ensuring seamless operation across diverse environments.
- Execute active directory user and group management, including roles, permissions, and application deployments.
- Administer VMware infrastructure, including VMware ESXi and vCenter, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Conduct patch updates and system maintenance on Windows and Red Hat Linux servers, adhering to strict maintenance schedules.
- Monitor and troubleshoot IT infrastructure components, promptly addressing any issues to minimize downtime.
24/7 Support: Be available for flexible hours and support to maintain 24/7 server environments on weekends .
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in IT support services delivery.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, with proficiency in UNIX, Solaris, Red Hat, CentOS, and Windows Server.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere and Oracle VM VirtualBox.
- Strong scripting skills using Bash Shell Script, with proficiency in automation and orchestration.
- Familiarity with database administration, particularly MySQL and Oracle.
- Expertise in ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Cherwell Service Management, and JIRA Service Management.
- Proven track record in managing IT infrastructure, security, and project delivery execution, with specific experience in Government Private Cloud (GPC) operations.( must have )
