In order to achieve further development of the group's business as a whole, we have implemented a major reorganization in which our Singapore-based company named JGC Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (JGCAP) is now positioned as a regional headquarters to oversee group companies in the APAC region. With this reorganization, we are planning to reinforce our engineering capability and looking for a new Engineering Manager who will be mainly responsible for leading the mechanical design work and execution of the production design deliverables.


[Job Description]

  • Lead the Mechanical Engineering Project Team and manage the operational and technical work and processes, including managing manpower, equipment and tools resources to support production schedule and optimize work capability and capacity of the projects.
  • Ensure proper PJ management with profit by implementing necessary actions and identifying potential risks and problems as Senior Engineering Manager of the assigned project, regardless of the stage of the project (FS, FEED or EPC).
  • Manage and supervise key engineering aspects, especially with regard to the area of Mechanical Engineering, such as finalizing of the design basis, material flow diagram, concept of equipment layout for projects executed by JGCAP and its APAC group companies, in order to ensure a timely and sound performance (including cost, time, quality and safety).
  • Work closely with senior division manager/division manager, senior managements and executives of JGCAP to support the evaluation and selection of projects to be undertaken by JGCAP or its APAC group compnies.
  • Manage and support technical sales to customers together with the sales departments of JGCAP and group companies in the APAC region. The position is expected to support technically the team of approximately 20 employees (planned to be expanded to 50 employees) in sales departments in respect of engineering management.
  • Support the senior division manager/division manager in developing and maintaining an organization capable of meeting current and future demands through effective organizational planning, motivation of personnel, and appropriate training to achieve and exceed the performance requirements of the project.
  • Ensure that installation, troubleshooting, qualification & validation of equipment meet project requirements.
  • The role is expected to report to the senior division manager/division manager on a regular or as-needed basis on the performance of the projects as required to achieve the goals of JGCAP Group as a whole.

[Job Requirement]

  • 10+ years of experience in the oil & gas or industrial and urban infrastructure related industry, of which at least 5 years in managerial position or above.
  • In-depth working knowledge of industrial code and standards commonly applied to oil & gas or industrial and urban infrastructure EPC project such as ASME, API, ASTM is a must.
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering in EPC or Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED), as well as feasibility study. Successful candidate is also required to possess at least 3 years of these experiences in the APAC region, with a preference for candidates who have experiences in Thailand.
  • At least 5 years of experience in EPC projects in the oil & gas or industrial and urban infrastructure related industry as a Lead Mechanical engineer of projects in the APAC region.
  • At least 5 years experience in solid handling equipment and material handling equipment such as separation, crushing and grinding, mixing, kneading, transporting, feeding, weighing, filling equipment, in addition to mechanical equipment such as vessel, heat exchanger, filter, pump and blowers.
  • Experience of leading a team of more than 20 employees.
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to think "outside the box" to solve problems.
