You will be part of the team of ancillary staff providing support to the daily operations of the SGH Haematology Laboratory. The SGH Haematology Laboratory is responsible for performing technical and complex assays for routine and specialised haematological investigations. Your main job scope includes clinical specimen requisition and labelling, check for specimen quality, perform test rejection and inform clinical staff when necessary, attend to test inquiries and provide administrative support to meet department needs.
Job Requirements
- Minimally to have GCE ‘O’ levels qualifications with at least three (3) years of relevant job experience
- Preferably with knowledge of computer skills, data entry and basic Microsoft software.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good team player with strong communication skills.
- Expected exposure to biological and/or chemical hazards.
- Comply to organisation’s infection control requirements (e.g. wearing of masks, gloves and lab coat).
- This is a part-time position, and you might be required to work two rotating shifts and on Saturdays to meet the hospital needs.
