Job Description
- The respective Site Supervisors will oversee the operational aspects of his assigned sites and manages all technicians deployed to the site. They shall be in charge of the planning and scheduling of maintenance works for their respective campus sites. They shall be responsible for carrying out the training programs, renovation works, inspection reports, updating of drawings/manual and assets etc. They shall work closely with the Manager, Assistant Manager and the Administrative Officer to ensure that all requirements under this Contract are met and daily operations for the University are functioning smoothly.
- He has to communicate well in English (both spoken and written) and is expected to establish good working rapport with users at all time and to attend to appointment promptly. The Site Supervisor shall have the authority to mobilize, plan and arrange for resources to carry out work as instructed by the University. He shall supervise and report back to the University upon completion of work
- As and when emergency services are called upon during normal operation hours, the Site Supervisor shall assist the Assistant Manager to arrange and mobilize all resources to attend the Fault and supervise the work carried out. The same shall apply for weekday off-operation hours and weekend emergency works.
- • Any instructions given by the University to the Contractor’s Manager, Assistant Manager, Site Supervisors, Technicians and all Administrative staff shall be carried out satisfactorily and expeditiously.
- • He shall assist the Building Operation Manager (BOM) to oversee/manage University’s appointed contractors and follow up for any Fault.
- • He shall assist in supervising, coordinating and monitoring the Preventive Maintenance, improvement projects and breakdown repairs carried out by the University’s appointed contractors and specialist contractors.
- • He shall carry out regular inspection to the Facilities and Systems in the building to ensure it functionality and reliability.
- • All Site Supervisor shall be appointed as the Fire Safety Manager (FSM) and shall be registered with Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) within six (6) months of the start of the Maintenance Phase. They shall assist the BOM on Fire Safety issues and conduct annual Fire Evacuation Drill in coordination with Fire Safety Workgroup. They shall report any unsafe and violation of fire safety matter to Lead Fire Safety Manager (FSM). They shall perform all FSM duties stipulated at Clause 27.
Requirements
- Academic Qualification: At least Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering, Estate/Facilities Management, Building Science or equivalent.
- Years of Relevant Experience: at least 5 years
- Years of relevant supervisory experience: At least 3 years
