We are in search of a high-performing individual to join our team as Sales Director.


About Us:

YouGov stands as a frontrunner in the field of Online Market Research, recognised for our dedication to achieving excellence and fostering innovation. As we continue to expand, we're on the lookout for a Sales Director who can drive sales success and elevate our business to new levels.


This position will join a highly motivated commercial team who are in charge of identifying, qualifying and closing new business opportunities across Singapore to achieve ambitious growth and sales goals. This person must be adept at consultative selling, particularly within the research & insights space.


What We're Looking For:

  • 8+ years of experience in consultative selling, research & insights or Media Agency business experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in a senior sales role, consistently exceeding targets.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive a sales team towards excellence.
  • Experience with selling data- and insight-based products, annual subscriptions to syndicated analytics tools and the capability to align these products to meet the marketing objectives of B2B/B2C organisations. The ideal type of person will be self-motivated and willing to work in an organization that values teamwork and prioritizes putting together solutions that most efficiently meet the needs of our clients.
  • A polished and professional demeanour, with strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Strategic mindset, capable of developing and implementing effective sales strategies.
  • Results-driven and motivated by a passion for achieving and surpassing goals.
  • A successful history of exceeding large sales targets
  • A history of and ability to lead, manage, and grow a sales team
  • A thorough understanding of what information is important to marketers and how marketing decisions can be made leveraging data and analytics.

This role will require applicants to have familiarity with complex sales cycles that fuse first-in-class software solutions, research methodologies, and in-depth consumer insights.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Lead and motivate a high-performance sales team to deliver exceptional results.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building and nurturing key client relationships.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in a dynamic industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
  • Consultative selling, particularly within the research & insights space.
  • Create strategic outreach plans to connect with and acquire new business partners who are not already working with YouGov
  • Quickly synthesize data and align a potential client’s needs with YouGov products/services
  • Possess a ‘hunter’ mentality with aggressive sales mindset and approach along with an extensive network.
