Experience with financial institutions or banking systems is a must .

The ideal candidate will utilize their analytical and programming skills to analyze business requirements, design, develop, and implement solutions based on a well-defined software development life cycle (SDLC). The role will involve working on both COBOL and Golang programs, as well as providing support during 24/7 shifts and support work. Flexibility in working hours is essential to meet the demands of the role.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements and design/develop COBOL and Golang programs.
• Create and execute testing scripts, and support test managers with delivering bug fixes during testing phases (system integration/user acceptance).
• Investigate and troubleshoot testing/production issues, communicating with business partners to identify gaps between requirements and expectations.
• Participate in Agile practices such as sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, and contribute to sprint retrospectives to improve processes and executions.
• Document changes required in the system.
• Provide 24/7 shifts and support work as necessary, ensuring systems are operational and resolving any issues promptly.
• Maintain flexibility in working hours to accommodate the demands of shift work.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
• Extensive experience in programming languages including Golang, COBOL.
• Proficiency with mainframe technologies such as CICS, Eztrieve, JCL, DFSORT, MVS, OS/390, TSO/ISPF, IDCAMS, VSAM.
• Prior experience in providing 24/7 shifts and support work is preferred.
• Flexibility in working hours to accommodate shift work requirements.
