Job Description

This is a full-time on-site position for an enthusiastic and motivated Postdoctoral Fellow with a PhD and/or MD and an interest in basic and translational research on disease pathophysiology of cardiometabolic diseases. The position is at the Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI), National University of Singapore. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for conducting independent research on cardiometabolic diseases, publishing scholarly papers, presenting research findings at seminars and conferences, and mentoring junior scholars and graduate students.


The Postdoctoral Fellow will be expected to contribute to the ongoing research activities of the institute and collaborate with other scholars in related fields. The Fellow will also be involved in grant applications and fundraising activities.

Qualifications

  • PhD and/or Medical Degree with strong foundations in cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
  • Strong research skills and experience in in vivo and in vitro cardiovascular and metabolic disease models is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated publication record, including peer-reviewed articles
  • Strong team player with the ability to work harmoniously within a diverse workforce
  • Experience in grant applications and fundraising activities would be beneficial
