Senior Manager, Market Access & Government Affairs

Develop and lead the implementation of reimbursement and health economics/market access strategies for all countries in the region including the development of the overarching reimbursement and health economics/market access strategy, and providing guidance on the necessary evidenced by respective payers. Develop strong internal and external relationships to achieve health economics and reimbursement goals and objectives.



Key Responsibilities:


• Develop and lead the execution of strategic reimbursement plan for each product. Drive the development of reimbursement for key products in prioritized markets.
• Develop and drive health economics strategies for integration into the development, sales and marketing of the portfolio of Edwards’ innovations in early stage.
• Facilitate meetings with health care professionals, and reimbursement and economic consultants as required to support strategic development and/or tactical implementation.
• Establish working relationships with related professional organizations, trade party associations and other key third parties to influence outcomes of critical market access issues.
• Develop economic models, dossiers, presentations and other materials to articulate and enhance the value of messages associated with our new technologies.
• Collaborate with Global Health Economics and Reimbursement (GHER) team to learn and assess how to apply the data and tools available.
• Partner with Government Affairs team on lobbying efforts to increase therapy awareness, improve market access, and achieve reimbursement goals.
• Other duties assigned by Leadership.

Education and Experience:


• Bachelor's Degree 10 years years experience of relevant work experience Required or
Master's Degree or equivalent 8 years years experience of related experience working healthcare industry Required and Other: Previous experience in and/or strong working knowledge of medical device industry (in Southeast Asia) Required Other: functional responsibility in health economics and reimbursement planning and program implementation Preferred.

Additional Skills:


• Extensive understanding of key public and private payer policy infrastructure, payment methodologies coding and coverage; health policy trends, and current business challenges required.
• Extensive business acumen, analytical skills and experience working with various internal business partners (especially Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, and Government Affairs staff) to provide insight into key economic and reimbursement issues for key products required.
• Experience working with customers (primarily hospitals and physicians), trade associations, professional and medical organizations and ability to develop mutually beneficial health economics and reimbursement strategies and tactics to support portfolio planning, commercialization, and sales/marketing objectives.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially presentation development.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple areas with cross-functional team, marketing peers and leaders and managing needs and messaging to upper management.
• Must be able influence and guide stakeholders.
• Strict attention to detail.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with intricate planning and strong tactical execution required.
• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.
