Technical Superintendent (Marine)

Dredging International Asia Pacific Pte Ltd

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse project/business needs and necessary technical requirements, activities and employees, monitor planning continuously and take corrective measures if necessary.
  • Coordinate the different technical activities (conceptual design, built, mobilisation, commission, maintenance and repair) in own focus area.
  • Prepare and request budget for technical activities (based on detailed specifications), manage actuals and present views.
  • Ensure conceptual, basic and detailed design is executed according to needs defined and in accordance with compliance regulations.
  • Ensure new technical asset gets into operation, by commissioning the individual assets and ensuring total compliance with specifications.
  • Organise permanent maintenance, carry out repairs of technical assets, prepare repair specifications, organise and ensure follow-up of execution, coordinate and support (ongoing and planned) maintenance, repairs and investment projects, take corrective measures if necessary.
  • Ensure safe and efficient deployment of people and equipment during repairs, docking and investment projects, analyse incidents and make and implement suggestions for the improvement of QHSE-S (Management System).
  • Have relevant expertise in the technical field, keep up with relevant developments in the own area and related areas of expertise and contribute to the (technical) field by developing new, state of the art knowledge and exchanging knowledge with colleagues.
  • Ensure reporting on the progress and results of the performance/maintenance/repair investment projects, ensure technical administration, propose suggestions for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications/Bachelor/Diploma/Master in Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent knowledge and experience)
  • With minimum 10 years of work experience in the same industry
  • Possess high HSE DNA skills as to drive and lead HSE performance on site
  • Have contractual knowledge as to negotiate and implement contracts / subcontracts
  • Have high people skills as to lead a versatile, multinational team of staff and crew
  • Be fully skilled in Microsoft office software as to lead meetings and presentations with Clients
  • Be fully proficient in English language (reading / writing / speaking)
