Job Description
- Assists Assistant Section Manager with the daily NDT Inspection activities and manpower deployment
- Reviews technical specifications, drawings, procedures, and standards required in the project
- Reviews and checks the project NDT plan and procedures submitted by NDT Assistant Engineer/ Engineer
- Monitors the project schedule for NDT activities
- Reviews and monitors NDT contractors' technicians’ list, equipment calibration list, and their NDT reports before submission to project clients
- Performs dressings, electrocardiograms, and other minor procedures
- Liaises with QA Engineers on the NDT work scope, requirements, and progress
- Ensures there is proper documentation of project inspection and test activities
- Initiates recommendations and provides solutions to project problems through designated channels
- Performs internal audits on project documents and inspection activities
- Ensures that all standard operating procedures comply with specifications, quality standards, statutory and regulatory requirements
- Any other assigned duties and responsibilities
Job Requirements
- Degree/ Diploma in Naval Architecture/ Civil/ Marine and Offshore Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering
- At least 3 years of relevant Quality Assurance working in Radiography and Ultrasonic Flaw Detection Test, preferably in the offshore and marine industry
- Possess a positive and willing-to-learn attitude
