Global Business Development Senior Manager - Supply Chain Solutions

Position Overview

  • Responsible for supporting Key Account (KA) and Target Account(TA) business growth by solution business development approach.
  • Develop and expand new Yusen Logistics SCS (Supply Chain Solutions) business.
  • Present and promote Yusen Logistics SCS in the region and generate business pipelines.
  • Manage and enhance efficient SCS tender management process and improve winning ratio.
  • Manage client data repository for effective internal information exchange.


Responsibilities

  • Diagnose customer needs and identify solution business opportunities.
  • Develop sales approach and formulate winning strategy to secure solution business.
  • Collaborate with Regional Key Account Development/Local Key Account Development / Industry Vertical Leaders to adopt supply chain approach to KA/TA and propose appropriate solutions and or products.
  • Create synergy between Business Development/Business Units for complicated supply chain needs.
  • Plan strategic approach for business development.
  • Expand SCS client base into other IVs and Geographic markets into Japan, the Americas, Europe, East Asia and South Asia & Oceania region.
  • Educate regional Solution BD to secure supply chain solutions in region/local.
  • Assist and guide organizations in the strategic approach for business development.
  • Provide customer insights through tender requirement.
  • Enhance postmortem for gap analysis.
  • Update relevant Yusen and clients with market trend and best practice information.
  • Monitor competitors’ behaviours and service information as it becomes available.
  • Conduct senior level communication with management and global, regional and Operation Companies (Opcos) business teams.
  • Monitor and encourage Opco BD members on business development.
  • Provide insights and Lead Opco BD members to capture customer requirements and market trend.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • University degree, preferably in Logistics, Marketing, Business Administration or relevant degree.
  • At least 7 years of Key Account Management experience in logistics industry with exposure in providing logistics solutions design or related experience.
  • Excellence knowledge of the logistics industry (Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, Land Transportation, etc.).
  • Demonstrated excellence skill of strategic and tactics problem solving.
  • Work well under pressure and commit to deadlines.
  • Able to work independently and within team and across teams.
  • Able to demonstrate teamwork, collaboration, adaptability and initiative.
  • Able to manage well on both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven strength in conceptual thinking and designing.
  • Excellent people, communications & negotiation skills and intuitive to customer’s business.
  • Fluent English proficiency, other languages are a plus.
  • Proven sales successes on new business generating and retention prowess.
  • Ability to travel overseas for business when required.
