The UPS Healthcare Marketing Director has the primary responsibility of developing and directing the marketing initiatives and activities to enable UPS Healthcare ambitious plan in APAC in terms of profitable growth. The position relies on building and demonstrating best in class marketing capabilities for the local marketing team while developing strong day-to-day relationships with UPS Healthcare corporate team, the local UPS healthcare commercial team (including Sales and Solutions) and the UPS APAC marketing and leadership teams. The position directly manages a go-to-market marketing manager, a product marketing manager, their supervisor(s) as well as a Marketing Operations & Digital Marketing Supervisor.
Responsibilities
Manages Marketing Business Planning Processes
- Participates in annual business and marketing planning for UPS Healthcare APAC Marketing to determine volume and revenue targets.
- Coordinates the volume and revenue goal setting plans by business unit (ISPK / SCS Core / HLD) to ensure targeted business goals are met.
- Builds and manages the planning process for APAC and submits plan results to Finance for profit plan development.
- Coordinates with other APAC Business entities (Small Package / SCS) to align business unit annual plans to long term plans.
- Develops monthly regional volume and revenue reports to assess performance against business plan objectives.
Manages APAC Marketing Strategy Development
- Develops regional and local market size and share models
- Measures and communicates competitive share position across geographies, trade lanes and products
- Develops focus for segments and products to achieve long term growth and share objectives
- Documents, communicates and amends our APAC marketing strategy
- Measures KPI’s toward long term strategic growth
Develops and execute Robust Go-To-Market Plans in APAC
- Ensures systematic and fact-based understanding of UPS Competitive positioning in the market
- Organizes a good understand of local customer needs in priority sub-segments
- Develops compelling value propositions based on strong right to wins.
- Build strong go-to-market approaches for all strategic priority segments.
- Build strong go-to-market approach for all local geographies
- Identify gaps and barriers to grow and build the path to overcome them.
Develops and execute Effective Product Development discipline in APAC
- Launches and manages the lifecycle of all products developed by UPS Healthcare (Like UPS Premier, Cold Chain Air Freight etc.).
- Ensures salesforce is aware, properly enabled and properly equipped to sell healthcare products
- Develop goals and plans in alignment with Healthcare Strategy and committed stat card business goals
- Executes these plans, collect regular feedback from the field and adjust accordingly.
- Interfaces with the UPS Business units (Small Package / Freight Forwarding / Logistics & Distribution).
- Organizes a constructive collaboration that delivers a strong growth for the organization.
Promotes the Brand through effective Digital Marketing, Events and Other Communications
- Ensures that UPS Healthcare brand is protected through compliance with Brand standards
- Promotes the UPS Healthcare brand within the healthcare logistics market to drive higher awareness, consideration and preference.
- Develops content that drives internet traffic, social media following and engagement and good leads for the sales organization.
- Organizes events that anchor UPS healthcare within the local healthcare logistics ecosystem, leverages existing UPS thought leadership and creates meaningful touchpoints with existing and future healthcare customers.
Supports Customer Experience Initiatives
- Leads efforts to prioritize customer pain points in APAC
- Supports global UPS Healthcare CX initiatives in local markets
- Ensure that healthcare customers are well covered by any significant CX small package or SCS initiative in APAC
- Directs local resources toward build out of strategies to improve experience
- Develops solutions and builds business cases to measure and improve Net Promoter Score
Provides Marketing Subject Matter Expertise
- Prepares Marketing presentations for senior management to provide information on the performance of UPS healthcare in APAC, and market and industry trends.
- Writes and conducts speeches for internal and external groups to inform of UPS Healthcare Marketing developments and develop healthcare knowledge and acumen within UPS.
- Prepares reports and correspondence on various APAC Marketing data at the request of cross-functional groups to provide information on market and product initiatives.
- Participates on strategic committees to provide solutions to sustain the organization’s competitive advantage and align efforts across functions
Leads and Develops Staff
- Manages resources and people processes: Performance Management, Career Development, Succession Planning, Salary Administration, Training, Staffing, etc.) to ensure the day to day administration of processes and formal procedures.
- Identifies individual and team skill gaps and developmental opportunities (e.g., training, special assignments, projects, etc.) to facilitate individual and team development.
- Ensures that direct and indirect reports have documented, strategically aligned career goals and detailed plans for achieving goals to advance the development of their personal and professional growth.

Qualifications
- Strong B2B Marketing experience in an international environment with accelerated growth requirements
- Prior demonstrated experience managing multiple disciplines though complex relationships across geographies and functions
- Education – Master's Degree Preferred
- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain markets & UPS pricing and cost models is preferred
- Demonstrate ability to dynamically diagnose problems and develop insights for senior management around business plan and marketing initiative performance
- Knowledge of Healthcare is a plus
