Job Description
- Assume responsibility for the organization and performance of the procurement function (sourcing, purchasing, storage and transportation) to meet all applicable business demands, company policies, standards and management expectations.
- Assume custody of the Company’s procurement and inventory management systems and to work with I.T. and O.T. vendors to continually improve the system.
- Undertake a periodic review of the existing procurement processes and formulate continuous improvement strategies to improve operational efficiency.
- To receive the department KPI assignment, and subsequently deploy the KPI to individual team members.
- Periodically review department and individual KPI and implement actions to meet management targets.
- Devise strong sourcing strategy and lead negotiations with suppliers for advantageous terms.
- Scan market, foresee trends and develop strategies to improve the Company’s procurement function.
- Antincipate and manages risks associated with the department’s functions.
- Participate and lead the team in the internal and external audits of the department.
- Investigate and establish the root cause of all observation and non-conformance attributable to the department.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of procurement experience on global scale
- Experience of the maritime industry, including the purchasing of bunker fuel would be an advantage
- Proficient in MS Office and procurement software
