We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Singapore office. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and international environment, contributing to the financial management of our operations in Singapore.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage day-to-day financial operations: Handle accounts payable and receivable, process invoices, and ensure accurate and timely payment processing.
2. Maintain general ledger: Record all financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and ensure accuracy of financial data.
3. Prepare financial statements: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
4. Assist in budgeting and forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop annual budgets and provide input for financial forecasts.
5. Conduct financial analysis: Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insightful recommendations to improve financial performance.
6. Ensure compliance: Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
7. Support internal and external audits: Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide necessary documentation during audit processes.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with colleagues from other departments to gather financial information, resolve discrepancies, and provide support as needed.
9. Continuous process improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, implement best practices, and enhance efficiency.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
3. Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the petrochemical or manufacturing industry.
4. Strong knowledge of Singapore accounting standards and tax regulations.
5. Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications (particularly Excel).
6. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required, as the role involves frequent communication with both English and Chinese speaking counterparts.
