As part of the Technical Helpdesk Team, you will provide vessel IT support as well as in-house Helpdesk and Technical support to end users. You will also be involved in the installation, cabling and set-up of workstations, PCs and printers.
- Provide in-house helpdesk and technical support to end users and vessel IT
- Support and resolve in-house end users and vessel IT technical issues
- Assist in the installation, cabling and setting up of workstations, PCs, and printers
- Performs software updates
- Attend to ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Diploma in Information Technology/ Computer Studies or Nitec holder equivalent
- Prior experience in PC hardware/ software installation an advantage
- Possess good communication skills, both written and spoken
- An independent team-player who can work with minimal supervision
- No sailing is required however candidates will be required to board vessels under supervision
- Required to work overtime after official working hours (based on vessel schedules)
