Your field of responsibility


We offer you an exciting SME role in our Singapore based SRE team where you will have a combination of production responsibilities and hands-on DevOps deliveries.


Business Delivery

  • Gain a strong technical and business focused understanding of Credit Suisse’s Private Bank and our technical implementation as well as the strategic UBS.
  • Work effectively with team members in Zurich & Pune with global users.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in some or all of the following business processes: Client Onboarding
  • and Lifecycling, Regulatory and Tax reporting, Digital banking, Client Reporting, Document management
  • Build role into an escalation point for complex support issues requiring Private Bank business
  • knowledge
  • Manage the relationship with the development teams and self-drive the SRE driven toil elimination and
  • tooling initiatives.


Environments Stability & Engineering

  • Manage the Client & FO systems globally, from dev environment to production.
  • Crisis/Incident Management, escalating with appropriate urgency. Ensuring team follow the prescribed
  • incident & problem management process
  • Ensure that the team’s Service-Level Agreements for issue resolution and remediation are adhered to and implement SLI/SLO as part of SRE transformation.
  • Proactively pick up and resolve all application issues and business queries from Front office, Middle
  • office, Controllers and Operations clients.
  • Responsible for minimizing downtime/outages/issues of all systems supported by SRE team, regardless of the environment
  • Identify and drive efficiencies in support and development tasks, enabling all teams to be more effective.
  • Grow the internally built operation tool (JavaScript) to reduce toil or shift left procedural tasks.
  • Partner up with other engineering teams to bring in cutting edge technologies (MinIO, Kafka, MongoDB)
  • Drive a best-in-class Monitoring and Capacity management platform leveraging time series database


Continuous Improvement


  • Work with development managers to reduce the support profile of existing applications and help design
  • and deliver more stable solutions. Drive the resolution of recurring issues at a systemic level.
  • Build and track a book of work for SRE, especially relating to follow-ups for reoccurring issues and actions from Problem tickets.

The Client & FO IT SRE team is a strategic operation and engineering team that is part of Global WM

IT with team members in Zurich, Singapore and Pune. This team, made up of highly talented individuals with years of industry experience and SME knowledge, supports several regional business groups globally, from Client onboarding and lifecycle to digital private bank portals, going through client document management and regulatory and tax reporting.


The team is main driver for the DevOps transformation in the space and while it provides direct support to end-users it also provides and builds tooling and automation for the development teams, drives controls and consistency by owing the CICD pipelines and ensure environment stability.


Credit Suisse Group AG has been acquired by UBS Group AG. Credit Suisse continues its business activities as a subsidiary company of UBS Group AG, including selective hiring for experienced professionals.


Your skills and experience


You will need to advertise at least 8+ years of relevant SRE/DevOps/Support experience with a large portion of it managing WealthManager.


Technical Skills

  • Proficient in at least one scripting language (Python/Perl/Shell/…).
  • Strong experience dealing with Linux environments
  • Strong experience managing the Temenos WealthManager application
  • Good experience with Relational databases.
  • Knowledge of middleware/messaging technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Hazelcast, …)
  • Understanding of distributed systems such as Kafka or MongoDB.
  • Good Experience with web-based technologies (preferably JavaScript, React a big plus).
  • A fair understanding of Git is required, knowing branching strategies such as Gitflow is a big plus
  • Knowledge of Java 11/17 is a big plus
  • Experience in dealing with DevOps tools like TeamCity, Gitlab, Jenkins,… is a plus.


Business Skills

  • Experience supporting and managing and automating EOD batches
  • Experience with Private Banking processes and regulatory controls in place
  • Basic understanding of trading, particularly Equities and FX.

  • Ability to interact with senior management in both the Business and IT.
