Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled technician to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in supporting our growing customer base and ensuring the successful installation of our projects regionally.
Responsibility:
- Communicate with engineers to ensure that services are delivered effectively.
- Handle mechanical assembly based on the provided drawings
- Prepare electrical panels based on the provided drawings
- Perform simple mechanical and electrical repair of installed machines
- Support with scheduled preventive maintenance and upkeep of installed machines
- Support with installation & commissioning of new equipment onsite
- Support with fabrication & wiring during project execution
- Travel to customer sites to support with service enquires whenever needed
- Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner
- Maintain in house stock and inventory for robot maintenance
- Performs ad-hoc duties as assigned by the manager
Educational Requirements: Diploma in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a related field
Key skills candidate must possess:
- Excellent hands-on skills in mechanical assembly, soldering, crimping, etc
- Knows how to handle electrical tools like crimpers, wire strippers, ferrules, etc.
- Must be good in handling mechanical tools such as drills, taps,
- Basic knowledge of Linux commands will be a bonus
- Basic knowledge of programming in Python, C++ will be a bonus
- Effective communication & interpersonal skills to work with customer teams
- Fluent and able to communicate in English well both verbally and in written
- Able to thrive in a dynamic and high paced work environment
- Comfortable handling customer queries while keeping the situation under control
- Comfortable working in production environments
- Able to think critically and take responsibility to solve problems
