Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in bringing our Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) to life, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated and operational within our customer's facilities.
Responsibility:
- Work closely with the engineering team to understand AMR specifications, functionalities, and ROS-based navigation systems
- Travel to customer sites for AMR installation, configuration & testing
- Work with project management & integration teams to ensure successful project execution
- Conduct thorough system & safety checks to ensure compliance with regulations & optimal performance
- Troubleshoot & resolve technical issues related to AMRs, ROS Navigation & associated software
- Conduct preventive maintenance at customer sites, and resolve any identified issues
- Provide comprehensive training to customer personnel on AMR operation & maintenance procedure
- Document commissioning process & maintain detailed records for future reference
- Identify and propose potential improvements to AMR performance & user experience
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including engineers, developers & customer support personnel to ensure successful project execution
- Build relations with customer’s operations & maintenance teams during installation
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar background
Key skills candidate(s) must possess:
- Proficient in using ROS (Robot Operating System)
- Proficient programming skills in Python & C++
- Basic understanding of electro-mechanical systems such as actuators, motors, sensors and other similar components
- Proficient hands-on skill sin mechanical assembly, soldering, crimping, etc
- Strong critical thinking & problem-solving skills with the initiative to self-learn new skillsets when required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to communicate in English effectively both verbally and in writing
- Able to work and thrive in a high paced work environment
- Comfortable with travelling to sites regionally and working in logistics & production environments
