Job Purpose:
- Contract management of a fleet of vessels.
- Ensure effective communication and co-ordination with Charterers, respective vessels, shareholders (if any), technical managers, and internal support teams (Company Management / Head office in Tokyo etc.)
- Ensure safe and reliable transportation of energy products and maximize owner profits.
Duties and Responsibilities:-
(1) Operational Responsibilities
- Manage, Lead and Administer LNGC & Projects
- Undertake Project Management & Execution
- Administer Project Budgets with the Ship Managers
- Undertake high level Marine/Operational analysis of potential opportunities
- Manage Internal Approval process and interact/liaise with Technical and Commercial Teams overseas
- Give Asset Management input in response to Tenders and Presentation Materials and follow up activities
- Develop relationships with existing and potential clients and other related organizations
- Provide Operational Input for Contractual compliance matters
(2) Performance Monitoring Responsibilities
- Compliance with Charter Party requirements and gauge performance of assets as per TCP warranties
- Ensure assigned projects are built as per SBC and in compliance with latest statutory regulations
- Liaise with Charterers/Customers and drive cost benefits for Owners
- Liaise with Ship Managers and drive value optimization by driving OPEX efficiencies
- Takes an overview of operational performance and provides mentoring and coaching as required to Team
- Develop and deliver Project Execution Plan as agreed
- Coordinates Ship Managers on Technical and Operational Matters including OPEX Budget approval process
- Provides advice to Ship managers on Operational and Commercial matters regarding charterer requirements
- Attend meetings, trainings, seminars and conferences
(4) Ensure effective management of LNGC project
- Ensure effective communications with all stakeholders.
- Liaise with Ship technical manager, Company Management team, Finance/Accounting team, JV partners if any;
5. Ensure reports are submitted as per the agreed deadlines:
- Liaise with Company Management and Finance/Accounting Team and prepare Budget for approvals
- Handle ad-hoc internal requests / clarifications from the Company,
- Support insurance team and minimise impact to P&L
- Liaise with insurance team to ensure rightful claims are raised and recovered
- Liaise with Finance/Accounting team to ensure appropriate provisions are allocated to financial statements
- Update Directors on the insurance/claims/settlement matters
6. Prepare and organize
- Ensure Monthly KPI scorecards are sent to Charterers as required
- Review monthly OPEX reports with Ship Manager and Finance team and prepare analysis for the variations noted in the OPEX budget for shareholders brief.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly Management reports + any meeting materials for stakeholders as required
- Owner representative during crisis management situations
Qualifications & requisite:
- Senior Maritime / Shipping Qualification, or Degree in Project / Business Management with Operations experience.
- Master Mariner / Senior Officer Experience on Gas Carriers
- A good working knowledge of Oil & Gas shipping commercial operations
- Familiarity with time charter/ shipbuilding contractual terms and associated commercial agreements.

- Well organized and able to manage multiple tasks or projects by oneself.
-Commercially astute with a sharp eye for detail.

- Capable to report complex commercial matters in a few salient points and provide resolution(s) to manager
- Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
