Job Responsibilities
· Lead the project & design department in the execution of projects from design inception to tender calling to execution and handling over of projects for both new build or A&A works, including pre and post construction stage.
· Provide leadership, direction and guidance to the project team and managing risks for the successful completion of projects, within time, cost, and workmanship.
· Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to the design team on test fitting of layouts, curation of design intents, material selections, keeping abreast of innovative or creative design solutions, including constant updating of design bible.
· Co-ordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors, and labourers etc.
· Propose A&A projects/business plan, support corporate development team in terms of cost feasibility study, authorities’ compliance study and obtain necessary budget/investment approval.
· Prepare and execute contingency plan for any unforeseeable situation.
· Organize and direct Company’s resources, personnel, and facilities as and when required, to manage the projects efficiently and effectively.
· Report to General Manager and update regularly to Head Office on the progress of different projects, on a weekly basis.
· Handle ad hoc assignments or tasks as required.
Requirements:
· Degree in Building Construction or related disciplines.
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in Project & Design Management and capable of leading a team.
· Familiarity with local building codes and authority approval procedure.
· Candidates with developer background will be preferred.
· Good track record of completed project and preferably from start to end.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
· Driven individual with ability to work independently.
· Meticulous, able to take initiative & multi-task.
