The Sales Manager - Power Burners SE Asia Region will be responsible for developing the power burner business in SE Asia from initial customer contact through to order and project implementation, supporting our project execution team. Proposals may involve small components or multi-million pound contracts. This requires a flexible, conscientious, hard-working and focussed individual who likes to work in a challenging environment and often to tight deadlines. The role requires a strong 'all round' engineer with a strong commercial understanding to evolve enquiries from initial enquiry to proposing technical solutions to negotiating commercial contracts.
Responsibilities include:
• Identifying business opportunities.
• Initiating customer contact and developing prospects into enquiries.
• Evaluation of customer enquiries and to develop work scopes. This may involve equipment
supply or site service activities.
• Visits to customer plants and site surveys. Problem solving where needed.
• Developing competitive or innovative solutions to meet customer requirements.
• Obtaining supplier pricing and preparing project budgets.
• Liaising with outside salespersons/ agents, project engineers, purchasing, logistics and manufacturing.
• Proposal follow up and clarifications.
• Presenting and defining concepts to customers.
• Reviewing and negotiating commercial terms and conditions.
• Commercial negotiations / closing orders.
• Working within Zeeco HSE and Quality systems.
The Candidate:
• Has a good technical or engineering qualification
• Experience within the oil and gas industry , Power , Pulp and Paper , Chemical and Pharma etc and also with Boiler OEM
• Experience of selling projects in SE Asia region
• Some experience of combustion equipment would be an advantage but not essential.
• Mechanical or process engineering background, ideally with some practical commissioning or site experience
• Flexible, hard-working, team player
• Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative
• Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• Good at problem solving with the ability to think laterally
• Willing to and go the extra mile
• Willing to travel within SE Aias region , Typically 2-3-day trips
• Ability to communicate at all levels with good telephone skills and good writing skills.
• Good meeting and presentation skills. The role could involve presenting to large audiences.
• Computer literate.
• A knowledge of more than one language would be an advantage.
