Job Description:
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise-level network to minimize disruptions and ensure the highest levels of performance and reliability. This role requires extensive experience with network monitoring tools such as Zabbix or PRTG, as well as deep knowledge of network topology, protocols, and both Cisco and Aruba networks products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee network service delivery, ensuring compliance with SLAs through proactive monitoring, management, and optimization of network resources.
- Utilize monitoring tools like Zabbix and PRTG to ensure network performance and reliability.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize network disruptions and optimize network performance.
- Manage projects related to network expansion, upgrades, and migrations.
- Lead the design and deployment of robust network architectures that support both current and future business needs, incorporating redundancy, scalability, and security considerations.
- Manage the network infrastructure lifecycle, from initial design through implementation, maintenance, and eventual decommissioning.
- Develop and enforce network policies and procedures to ensure consistent network performance and availability across all client sites.
- Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis to anticipate and address network growth and bandwidth demands.
- Coordinate with security teams to implement network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and network segmentation strategies.
- Provide technical leadership in network disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss in the event of network failures.
- Manage relationships with telecom and network service providers, negotiating contracts and SLAs to ensure quality service and cost-efficiency.
- Lead the adoption of ITIL practices in network management, including incident, problem, and change management, to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Regularly review network service performance against SLAs, identifying trends, and implementing corrective actions to address service gaps or areas of non-compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that network changes and deployments are managed in accordance with ITIL change management processes, minimizing risk and disruption to services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in network consultation, scoping of network projects, and leading deployments of enterprise-level network solutions.
- Established as a Subject Matter Expert in network infrastructure, with in-depth knowledge of network monitoring tools (Zabbix, PRTG), network topology, protocols, and extensive experience with Cisco and Aruba solutions.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing networks to ensure high availability, performance, and security in accordance with business requirements.
- Certifications in network engineering (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, Aruba Certified Solutions Professional) and familiarity with ITIL processes related to network management.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
