Environmental health and safety (EHS) coordinators work to create and enforce a culture of safety within their organizations. They implement programs, policies, and assessments to ensure their company is in compliance with all federal and internal health and safety rules.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist EHS Officers in the implementation, review & improvement of the Integrated Management System.
- Monitor and inspect work sites to ensure that safe work practices are carried out in all work operations and compliant with ISO & WSH Act requirements.
- Conduct and organize EHS audits, trainings, meetings and promotional programs to raise employee awareness and knowledge.
- Investigating all incidents which occurred and propose recommendations to the management for adoption.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies on safety related notices & issues, ensuring certifications are up to date and relevant.
- Preparation of all documentations and bridging documents required by Company’s specification and Job Safety Analysis.
- Carry out any other assignments as tasked by the EHS Officer
Requirements
- WSH Level B Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health
- Familiar with the statutory requirements related to WSH Act and other aspect of safety
- At least 3 years of safety experience in Construction/Building field
- A team player and ability to work independently and influence others
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and able to maintain composure under stress
- Takes initiative to make things happen
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Possess own transport
