Business Development Manager

The role requires the incumbent to spearhead sales initiatives, focusing on both expanding the company's footprint within existing accounts and identifying potential new clients to amplify revenue streams. This position demands a proactive approach to account management, aiming to exceed set financial targets through strategic planning and exceptional client service.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform as a dynamic sales individual, adept in a hunter role, to aggressively pursue new business opportunities.
  • Execute comprehensive account planning and management; develop detailed forecasts and objectives for each account, adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments from clients, maintaining financial discipline.
  • Provide proactive account management to key Education and/or Commercial accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline, at least three times the assigned quarterly sales target.
  • Achieve and surpass monthly and quarterly sales quotas in both revenue and gross profit.
  • Conduct regular meetings with accounts for updates, adjustments, and strategic planning.
  • Address and manage ad-hoc queries and concerns from clients, ensuring resolution and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to guarantee timely and satisfactory delivery of products and services.
  • Drive new client acquisition, including the re-engagement of previous clients.
  • Work closely with distributors and principal vendors to optimize offerings.
  • Prepare and submit tenders as part of the sales process.
  • Organize and participate in trade shows and events for lead generation and networking.
  • Regularly contribute to marketing communications, both internally and externally.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent is preferred, though candidates with degrees in other disciplines who have completed sales training or courses are also encouraged to apply.
  • At least 3 years of experience in infrastructure sales and service sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Knowledge in system integration, virtualization, enterprise backup, SAN, cyber-security, automation, and cloud computing technology will be a significant advantage.
  • The candidate must be result-oriented, capable of working independently and under pressure.
  • Professionalism in understanding customer needs and delivering effective solutions is essential.
  • Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
