Accounting Intern Responsibilities:
· Shadowing members of the Finance department as they perform their duties and eventually learn to be independently carry out the duties
· Processing vendors’ invoices and payments
· Working with Accounting software (Navision) and Business intelligence reporting software
· Preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements and submission to management for reviews
· Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
· Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
· Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and operations.
What will you take away:
· Learn how to work as part of the Accounting & Finance team to process accounting records, compile and analyze data, track information supporting the Finance department of the company as a whole.
· Understand and get expose to management reporting and information used by Management to assess a company’s performance
Accounting Intern Requirements:
· Actively working towards a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Accounting.
· Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles (for e.g. IFRS).
· Aptitude for mathematics, proficiency with computers, strong analytical and critical mindset.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
· Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
