Responsibilities
- Champion the implementation and monitoring of Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality Assurance (HSEQA) policies to ensure compliance in the operation of fleet vessels. Provide timely reports to the Corporate Compliance Manager (CCM) and Designated Person Ashore (DPA) on any non-compliance issues regarding environmental measures and marine protection requirements.
- Collaborate with the Director of HR & Crew to oversee the comprehensive HR infrastructure and assets of the Executive Group. Coordinate with team leaders to maintain and optimize all assets in alignment with legal and regulatory standards.
- Engage with HR teams and Department Heads across the organization to enhance the delivery of HR functions and services.
- Support the Director of HR & Crew in managing the Human Resource Management of shore staff for the ESM Group. Develop and implement HR strategies, including defining departmental responsibilities, recruitment, training, records management, succession planning, employee relations, and retention efforts.
- Collaborate with Department Heads to assess training needs for all roles and devise plans for compliance and performance enhancement.
- Aid the Director of HR & Crew in formulating and monitoring HR budgets covering key areas such as Manpower Planning, Recruitment, Training, Events, Travel, and Employee Welfare.
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements across all offices under the guidance of the Director of HR.
- Foster a performance-driven culture by conducting evaluations in line with company policy. Review and recommend annual adjustments to awards, wage structures, and welfare benefits.
- Support the Director of HR & Crew in implementing and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies across the ESM Group of companies to maintain regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Minimally a Diploma or Degree – Preferably in Human Resource
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in Human Resource
- Good administrative, planning and implementation skills
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Computer literacy is a must
