MAIN PURPOSE
The incumbent will drive overall Regulatory Affairs strategy and execution for the Companies in the region to ensure regulatory compliance. He/She will proceed Quality Management in the region to support Shiseido group quality. He/She will also enhance consumer relationship within the region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
[Regulatory Affairs]
• Lead and guide a regional regulatory team to manage regulatory affairs for the Companies, such as formula compliance, labelling compliance and registration/notification compliance.
• Plan and execute short-term and long-term goals/objectives in regulatory field to ensure marketing objectives are met.
• Supervise registration/notification of products by both local affiliates and distributors for obtaining approval of new products, update and maintenance of existing product licenses.
• Collect evolving regulations and conduct critical assessment on the impact of those regulations. Provide counsel to stakeholders/management on relevant courses of action. Lead advocacy to local authorities in order to minimize business impact caused by relevant regulations in cooperation with industry association.
• Provide accurate and timely support to local affiliates and distributors regarding regulatory inquiries from local authorities, consumers, retailers and other stakeholders.
• Ensure claim/advertisement compliance in cooperation with APIC as for inquiries from SAPAC Mkt, GIC and other relevant stakeholders.
• Report and share major regulatory issues to HQ every month in dotted line reporting relationship. If urgent/critical, immediate reporting is required.
[Quality Management]
• Lead and guide a regional quality team to manage quality control for the Companies, such as consumer complaints both for health and quality.
• Plan and execute short-term and long-term goals/objectives in quality field to ensure marketing objectives are met.
• Provide accurate and timely support to local affiliates and distributors regarding quality inquiries from local authorities, consumers, retailers and other stakeholders.
• Report and share major quality issues to HQ every month in dotted line reporting relationship. If urgent/critical, immediate reporting is required.
[Consumer Relationship]
• Update consumer related policy and execution plans in order to enhance consumer relationship within the region.
• Support local affiliate as for health/quality complaints in consumer relationship from technical and consumer relationship’s point of view.
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum Degree holder majoring in any relevant disciple from a recognized tertiary institution.
• Preferably more than 10 years of experience in regulatory affairs ideally gained in the cosmetics/beauty industry.
• Possess cosmetic science / technical knowledge (ingredient, formulation, safety, efficacy).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good command of English.
• Able to travel globally for business.
