Involved in the development, implementation, maintenance and review of financial policies, plans, procedures, analyses and controls. Typical areas include accounting, planning, forecasting and taxation.
General
- · Ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles
- · Assistance on provision of information to internal and external entities and branches to facilitate financial reporting and decision making
- · Liaise with internal/external auditors
- · Liaise with Tax Agent for yearly Tax computation package submission.
- · Assistance on ad hoc projects, as required
- Financial Accounting
- · Preparation of journals and posting transactions to the general ledger (accruals, expenses and adjustments)
- · Preparation of payment and liaising with brokers on brokerage commissions and tax invoices.
- · Maintenance of Fixed Asset module
- · Reconciliation of general ledger and sub-ledger accounts (AR, AP & Fixed Assets)
- · Preparation of financial statements and monthly Group Finance reporting
- · Understanding of Intercompany flows and recharges
- · Prepare GST quarterly return for submission.
- · Timely and accurate closure of month-end financial activities and delivering precise financial reports for Group reporting.
Requirement qualifications:
- Experienced and demonstrates competence in own area
- Typically works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge
- Diploma/degree in accounting or related discipline with 8+ years of accounting experience.
- Well-verse in MS office, MS Excel and word
- Self-starter and team player
