[Our client is looking for a Workshop Technician to be responsible for successfully carrying out a variety of tasks in the workshop]
Job Summary:
As a Workshop Technician you will be working as part of a dedicated workshop team and will be responsible for successfully carrying out a variety of tasks in the workshop in accordance with company's procedures and aviation regulations. You will be operating under company's Part 145 approval, Health and Safety policy, customer requests and other airworthiness requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Complete a variety of maintenance, production and cabin installation tasks within a specific trade skill and workshop scope, and ensure safety and product quality.
- Ensure the timely and accurate recording of work executed
- Prepare and maintain records of completed workshop work
- Maintain current knowledge of all applicable procedures and safety measures
- Represent company as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network
- Main Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical / technical apprenticeship with appropriate educational qualifications according to specialty (diploma) or equivalent work experience
- 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Solid skills in relevant workshop discipline or equivalent work experience
- Solid knowledge of workshop processes
- Good communication skills
- Good English language skills (min A2 level) must be able to read and understand engineering drawings and tasks in English manuals.
Level II
- Has relevant work experience and proven skill levels in three areas from the workshop skills matrix such as CNC machine, varnishing, painting, or more
- Ability to work independently
- Basic knowledge of aviation regulation / processes (MOE/POE)
- Basic IT Microsoft Office skills - computer literate
- English minimum A2 level
Level III
- Deep specialized expertise in relevant skill areas (linked to workshop skills matrix)
- Ability to informally instruct / teach Technicians Level I/II
- Ability to act as an apprentice trainer or responsible for traineeships
- English minimum B1 Level
