- Oversee the planning and implementation of telecommunications system capacities of StarHub’s Submarine cable systems
- Engage suppliers and partners to implement and/or enhance new technologies of our Submarine cable systems
- Plan and coordinate the necessary procurement of Submarine spare cables and spare kits to ensure availability and continuous operation of the cable systems
- Coordinate with suppliers and partners on Submarine cable fault repairs and related matters, with 24 x7 responsiveness
- Handle permit related matters on the implementation, planning, diversion and repair of Submarine cable systems
- Prepare and monitor budget and expenses related to the planning and implementation of Submarine cable projects and operations
- Manage contractual matters and agreements related to the planning, implementation, operation and maintenance of our cable systems with suppliers and partners
- Become on-board vessel representative for Submarine cable projects or repairs
Requirements
- Appropriate qualification in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication or equivalent
- At least 10 years of working experience in the relevant field
- Experiences in fibre optic communication
- Good project management and communication skills
- Familiar with contractual laws and agreements, including the drafting of such documents
- Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-cultural and multi-national environment
