Title: Financial Controller
Financial Statutory Accounting Services is looking for a Financial Controller who will leads FSAS teams for Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand.
Financial Statutory Accounting operations and performance related to local finance processes, financial information and external financial statutory reporting. Ensure a true and fair view of risks, rewards and financial position of the legal companies. High standard financial company reporting according to Wärtsilä Group Directives and Policies, as well as local accounting requirements.
This is a permanent opportunity, and the location is Singapore.
What will you be doing:
As Financial Controller, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
· Managing and controlling company level reporting, according to legal compliance and Wärtsilä Corporation accounting manual, guidelines and requirements.
· Ensuring correctness of local company's financial situation, including for example Profit & Loss Statement, Balance sheet and Fixed Assets.
· Accounting and closing activities on company level in SAP and HFM, participating in development and optimizing related processes, and supporting the businesses in financial processes.
· Collecting and preparing financial information, reports and analyses to internal and external stakeholders and authorities, e.g. tax related reporting (direct, indirect, transfer pricing).
· Providing and presenting Financial Review material to the company Board of Directors Meeting.
· Contributing in external auditing, internal auditing and internal control reporting of the company.
· Supporting and participating in development of Financial Statutory Accounting Services in cooperation with area organization and in projects which require financial competence and support.
· Leading and building competence in the local Financial Statutory Accounting Services team
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
· MSc. / BSc. in Business Administration / Finance and Accounting
· 7 to10 years working experience in finance & accounting controller position.
· Good knowledge of international accounting principles (IFRS) and finance management
· Strong analytical thinking capability and excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
· Proficient in office software (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) with knowledge of financial and ERP system (e.g. SAP, HFM), with the ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and techniques.
· Able to work in a global matrix organization and are flexible to fit and act in a fast-changing organizational environment.
· Ability to work under time pressure and with tight deadlines
· Be professional, open, honest, sharing, proactive and a good team player
· Continuous improvement mind-set
