Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Role
- Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics (single subjects) at EITP (Lower Secondary)
- Teach subject of specialty (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) at International GCSE (O- Level).
- Teach Mathematics at International A-Level (IAL) and IGCSE (O-Level)
- Maintain attendance and achievement and class management records
- Provide regular reports on student performance
- Attend meetings to review performance
Additional Responsibilities
- Help maintain high levels of student discipline
- Implement strategies to help ensure students achieve the best possible examination results
- Take an active role in the welfare of students at the school
- Take an active role in extra-curricular activities
- Be available to give extra tuition to students who require this assistance
- Undertake any other duties as directed
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- A university honours degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related science subject.
- Relevant and recent experience as a classroom teacher.
Desirable
- Experience of teaching Pearson Edexcel programmes at Lower Secondary and International GCSE (O-Level)
- Experience of teaching international students using English as the medium of instruction
- Experience of providing English Language support for international students
