Manager – Purchasing & Inventory Management
The main role is to manage the inventory movement to support the business operations in the servicing and repair of automobiles. This role will require candidate to lead, plan, review and monitor stock level for inventoried material to achieve material readiness to Operation at the most optimal inventory holding cost and storage capacity.
To meet the objective, this person needs to be a team player, problem solver, able to manage a team and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Responsibilities: Purchasing and Inventory Management
- Lead a team of buyers/planners to provide material support to Operations.
- Lead, execute and drive inventory control, turns, Month of Supply, aging & obsolescence according to planned inventory holding target/cost.
- Work with business units to establish SLA & KPIs - stock turnaround time and safety stock level – to achieve optimal inventory holding cost
- Work with General Procurement / Finance to manage corporate governance and compliance related to Purchasing and Inventory Management Operations
- Conduct and participate in regular cycle count/stock take.
- Ensure stocks and documentation integrity by conducting internal checks and audit.
- Prepare, Generate and Review inventory reports to measure and monitor key performance indicators for effective inventory management operations.
- Manage exception and non-conformances with Supplier and work with them to improve overall delivery performances.
- Establish regular S&OP meeting with cross functional team to enhance overall performance and productivity.
- Establish stock policy and management approach for each material within their category/portfolio
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 3 years of experience in Inventory Management or Demand Planning environment and preferably with supervisory/managerial experience.
- Analytical, team player, leadership, positive and good oral/written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS office especially Excel.
- Experience in MRP, APO or related inventory management software.
