Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and analytical deep-dives to uncover industry trends and market gaps for organisational adoption and development.
- Lead the formulation of comprehensive business strategies and phased strategic roadmaps based on market intelligence and in alignment with the organisation’s vision and mission.
- Design structured strategic workshops for key management and heads of department to define organisational objectives, determine business priorities, and design initiatives and expected outcomes in line with the agreed strategic direction.
- Steer key planning processes including without limitation forecasting, budgeting, business and resource planning exercises alongside management, finance, HR and the relevant business units to manage costs, maximise returns, mitigate risks and ensure continued business longevity and profitability.
- Oversee the set-up of new structures and systems (e.g. set-up of new offices, corporate entities, organisational structures, banking relationships, enterprise systems, etc.) to promote organisational growth, diversification and resilience.
- Engage in the organisation’s sustainability reporting procedures that include without limitation defining and communicating sustainability-focused KPIs, coordinating with key stakeholders to synthesize, analyse and report data, monitoring and managing the achievement of targets, as well as supporting the preparation of sustainability reports and news releases
- Support and participate in the planning and organisation of company initiatives including without limitation sustainability and welfare events.
- Prepare and present required deliverables to key internal and external stakeholders for buy-in and reporting
- Fulfil all other assigned duties in line with the company’s goals and focus areas
Key Requirements
- Recognised Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a business and/or technical discipline
- At least 6 to 8 years of related work experience in strategic and business planning role(s)
- Proven track record in multiple leadership positions
- Written and spoken native fluency in English and Mandarin is a must
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Word (Demonstrated expertise in creating marketing decks and financial models is required)
- Strong decision-making, critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Nimble and competent with the ability to prioritise and simultaneously manage a variety of tasks, projects and work activities
- Independent and pro-active self-starter with a solid work ethic and positive learning attitude
- Articulate with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Meticulous with a keen eye for detail
- Adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced working environment and team
