Senior System Engineer | Wintel | Up to $6.5K per month – J.T.

A glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Execute Systems Administration Service Levels

1. Monitor systems performance and usage, including response times
2. Supervise backups, optimization, initiation of recovery procedures and routine troubleshooting
3. Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure systems integrity and security
4. Determine the systems’ short- and long-term requirements
5. Manage systems report production

• Advise on System Capabilities

1. Advise senior leaders on system concepts and functional capabilities
2. Provide technical advice to the team and clients on installation, setup, configuration of systems
3. Interpret internal or external business issues and recommends solutions/best practices
4. Implement plans to make systems available to users in a shared, secure and controlled manner

• Develop New Systems

1. Lead the development of new systems as per the system requirements
2. Design security and integrity controls
3. Conduct new systems testing and implementation
4. Define the system maintenance procedures
5. Analyze the use of new systems to identify enhancement needs
6. research initiatives for the development of advanced and automated approaches for system administration

• Optimize systems performance

1. Seek opportunities to optimize the delivery of systems services with emphasis on availability, reliability, scalability, and security
2. Conduct regular system audits and upgrades
3. Develop automated processes to define, measure, and report on service quality, stability and capacity

• Resolve issues

1. Oversee the assessment of risks to systems
2. Identify complex system issues to provide advisory to the stakeholders
3. Investigate cause of systems issues
4. Resolve complex issues
5. Provide escalation support for issues presented by the user

What you’ll need:

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent fields
• At least 5 - 6 years’ experience in developing, implementing and maintaining IT systems

1. Experience in server or Windows migration (e.g., Windows Server 2012/2016 to 2019)
2. Setting up/Implementation of VMWare, AD and Windows from scratch

• Systematic in approach and familiar with enterprise level trouble shooting
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders and ROs
• Experience in healthcare applications preferred and/or willing to take up the challenges in a healthcare related industry
