Position Overview:
The Maintenance & Facility Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of equipment and machinery within the manufacturing plant. This position involves a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail to ensure that production processes run smoothly and any disruptions are minimized. The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating repairs, and continuously improving maintenance processes.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on production equipment, machinery and facilities to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities in a way that minimally impacts production schedules.
- Identify, diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or breakdowns promptly to minimize production interruptions.
- Installation and qualification of equipment and parts.
- Manage tools, equipment, and storage for maintenance control.
- Source & procure spare parts, fixtures, fittings or component ensuring that they are compatible with existing equipment and meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment maintenance schedules, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Assist ISO audit, perform internal and external audits and compile detailed reports of findings.
- Undertake ad-hoc facility minor repairs.
Qualification and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Min 5 year related field or equivalent experience with hand -on technical skills in maintenance, repair of machinery.
- Knowledge with ISO & OHSAS procedure, renewal and audit.
- Excellent problem analysis and problem resolution skills.
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English to liaise with Mandarin and English-speaking counterparts in the course of work.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
