We are hiring for a lead operations for our MAS-licensed private exchange, facilitating investments and trades in private company shares. Additionally, support the MAS Capital Markets digital investment platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on secondary market operations, including but not limited to trading/settlement, funds handling, statement issuance and record keeping according to policies and SOP
- Support custody operations on trading/settlement, funds handling, and reconciliation
- Liaise with external trustee, issuers and investors on operational queries and corporate action
- Liaise with secondary market issuers to ensure listing rules are adhered to
- Liaise with Product/Tech team on platform bugs and propose enhancement for operational gaps
- Liaise with Finance team on fees chargeable for investors and issuers
- Liaise with third party vendors in areas relating to custody and secondary market operations
- Involve in updating and optimising operational procedures and requirements
- Support in the KYC/onboarding process on prospective/existing clients and issuers, including ongoing due diligence and periodic review
- Undertake maker role in the KYC/onboarding process and liaise with Compliance team to ensure AML/CFT requirements are adhered to
- Support the implementation of new projects, systems or business initiatives from operational perspective
- Prepare data, analysis and reports on periodic basis
- Undertake administrative duties and other assigned duties
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy/Business Management/Banking & Finance
- 5+ years experience in financial services operations, leading private exchange/platform
- Expertise in secondary market operations (trading, settlement, funds, records)
- Strong understanding of MAS regulations for private exchanges (CMS license)
- Strong leadership, communication & interpersonal skills (manage & motivate team)
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills (identify & resolve operational issues)
- Experience managing & liaising with external stakeholders (trustees, issuers, investors, vendors, regulators)
- Strong attention to detail & accuracy (ensure operational efficiency & regulatory compliance)
- Excellent English communication (written & verbal)
