What you will do:
In this role, you will be instrumental in the ownership, planning, creation and execution of strategic communications and will serve as the communications partner to members of our APAC leadership team, specifically for the Southern Asia and Pacific (SA&P) region, which includes India, Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Your broad knowledge of effective communications channel strategy and measurement, coupled with excellent writing ability, will be assisted by a curiosity to learn the operational practices of a global diversified technology and multi-industrial leader, and reach employees from desk-based roles all the way to sales and service technicians in the field.
Working with the wider communications team, you will strive to continually evaluate and improve our processes, resources and communication technology and messaging, for all employees, regardless of role and location, while bringing new and innovative ideas to the table.
Internal Communications
- This role is instrumental in supporting the planning, creation and execution of strategic communications channels, content and metrics for the SA&P employee audience, including supporting transformational change projects and executing engaging communications to improve our Organizational Health.
- Create engaging, creative and targeted employee communications that align with business goals.
- Leverage communications to support action plans as an outcome of employee survey results.
- Drive consistency in communications processes, including measuring effectiveness, while continuing to innovate.
- Research, write and edit a variety of internal publications in several formats.
- Provide communications support for large-scale events including webinars and live broadcasts.
- Maintain relationships and projects with vendors as needed.
- Collaborate with marketing communications, media/public relations and digital teams to leverage existing content.
- Understand business needs and collaborate with APAC communications, marketing and PR colleagues to strategize, develop and deliver effective integrated company and product messages to be used in thought leadership forums, digital marketing, marketing communications, public relations or events, with special focus on SA&P.
What we look for:
- Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Journalism, Mass Communications, Engineering.
- Relevant working experience of more than 3 years. PR agency experience is a plus. (While experience is important, what is more critical is attitude and strong ability to learn.)
- Ability to quickly gather and synthesize information from a variety of sources; aptitude for translating complex topics and issues into broadly understandable messages to employees.
- Proficient and innovative in capturing authentic voice of leaders and technology experts while finding angles that can engage target audiences.
- Strong understanding of digital platforms that impact communication strategies and up-to-date with the latest digital communication technologies.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with drive to constantly improve through gathering feedback and measuring outcomes.
- Good sense of aesthetics, ability to design simple graphics and build storyboard for video production.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to multitask.
- Able to think strategically across the enterprise while digging into tactical needs.
