SUMMARY OF ROLE
As an Environment, Health, Safety Engineer, you will be the leading the operations for EHS for our Singapore sites for safety matters, EHS trainings and reviewing any procedures. You will also be the advisor for EHS related legislation and requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To maintain and implement environmental, health and safety (EHS) management framework and programs for Singapore sites.
- Educate and train employees on EHS requirements and regulations to promote zero accident culture.
- Advice site management on EHS related legislation and requirements.
- Network with global EHS team for training, new technology applications, and leverage best practices.
- Lead overall Plant Operation Safety matters, EHS training, reviewing Safe Work Procedures and Incident Investigation.
- Responsible for providing technical safety advice to the relevant stakeholders. Mentor stakeholders on EHS Management System.
- Conduct daily walk about (safety inspections) and rectify any safety hazard that is found within the premises promptly.
- Work with other team members of updating the required licenses, approvals and certifications which are necessary for the facilities’ operations and
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements
- Candidate must possess Diploma or Degree in EHS or any Engineering discipline.
- WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health (SDWSH) – Level C
- Candidate must have minimum 2 years of EHS related working experience in Manufacturing and/or Semiconductor industries.
- Candidate will need to be Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with Ministry of Manpower
- Candidate must effectively partner and delivers results in a matrix environment; works collaboratively with different (external) engineering and supply chain organizations.
- Candidate will need to have knowledge of local regulation and EHS requirements.
