Responsibilities
- Help the businesses to plan the carbon reduction initiatives necessary in order to meet the Group’s Net Zero Carbon (NZC) commitments.
- Help the businesses to identify opportunities to deliver fee paying sustainability services to our clients – and help the business to secure those opportunities and deliver the services.
- Respond to clients' requests for ESG advice.
- Build the firm’s profile in the ESG space by participating and speaking at conferences, events and developing thought leadership pieces.
- Help to structure relevant ESG Research metrics and reports.
- Advise the firm on which Green certifications to pursue and help to obtain those certifications.
- Work with in-house teams, including the Social Committee, to plan communications and activities to engage our people in our Green initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in Engineering, Environmental Science/Management, Sustainable Architecture, Building Construction, or related disciplines.
- At least 8 years working experience in ESG advisory or sustainability initiatives/consultancy, preferably with a focus upon the real estate sector.
- Experience in Green Mark, LEED, EDGE, SCEM and/or other green building label certifications as well as ISO standards for best practices in real estate operations will be viewed favourably
- Familiarity with real estate sector sustainability best practice, reporting systems, accreditations, benchmarks and technology solutions will be an advantage.
- Ability to engage, establish collaborative relationships and build trust with various stakeholders as well as lead cross-functional groups
- Excellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
