Contract Manager/Senior Contract Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and guide the quantity surveying team in contracts administration to ensure quality and timeliness in delivery of their assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- ·Prepare and monitor project cost budget, cash-flow for project, track changes in design/construction work, variations and adjust budget projections accordingly
- Oversee and manage contract progress claim, certifications, variation and final accounts.
- Advise and resolve requests for equitable adjustment, contract disputes and contract claims with client/consultants and subcontractors
- Identify contractual risks/issues/potential dispute proactively and propose sound solutions to management to mitigate such risk/issues.
- Work closely with the project team and oversee the quantity surveying in the analysis, evaluation and negotiations of quotations, to ensure timely award of subcontractors and suppliers
- Interpret drawings and specification to manage claims and counterclaims
- Review and implement contract administration and policies
- Any other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveyor or equivalent
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering industry such as earthwork, roadwork, drainage work, basement work and structural work.
- Well-versed with contract negotiation, administration and/or management.
- Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and methodical approach to work.
- Well-versed in both public and private sector Conditions of Contract and construction law in Singapore
- Good people and communication skills with ability to interact with people of all levels.
- Resourceful, adaptable, well-organized and meticulous with an eye for detail.
- IT literate, proficient in MS Office applications
