Job Description
The Head of Export Control and Sanctions APAC will be heading the "Center of Competence APAC" which is responsible for the operational execution of applicable export control and sanctions laws and regulations in the entire APAC region.
In this role the incumbent will:
- lead a team of eight Export Control and Sanctions Managers.
- implement an Internal Compliance Program (ICP) for Export Control and Sanctions in the APAC region, including the implementation of global Policies and Standards.
- be responsible to analyze and advise on all business transactions of the APAC region (all Group Sectors) concerning Export Control and Sanctions restrictions.
- advise senior and top management concerning APAC export control and sanctions issues, execute operational audits on APAC legal entities, advise on remediation measures and be responsible for the respective risk reporting for the region.
Job Requirements
- Master Degree or equivalent (preferred Economics or Law) + 5 years of relevant professional experience; alternatively 15 years+ of relevant professional experience
- Long-standing experience in export control and sanctions management
- In-depth experience in risk-management
- Experience in the analysis of business processes and the design of compliance frameworks
- Leadership experience
- Experience in forming and building up teams.
- Intercultural skills
