SENIOR APPLICATION MANAGER

Requirements:

  • Minimum Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in handling low voltage electrical products such as drives/ motors/PLC, with preference in VFDs;
  • Willing to provide hands-on pre & post sales technical solutions to support the sales team
  • Strong site troubleshooting and application skills
  • Project management skill is a plus
  • Confident in conducting technical trainings and creating technical presentations and seminar materials for partners and customers
  • Sales attitude to support sales team and solution-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge communication between local/regional technical teams and Japan HQ effectively, particularly regarding technical terminology in both electrical and mechanical fields in Japanese language. Knowledge of Japanese dialects is essential

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key liaison and provide support between local/regional technical teams and Japan HQ, facilitating effective communication, collaboration and application support.
  • Coordinate ASEAN drives requirements effectively with HQ/ factory in Japan
  • Provide pre and post-sales technical solutions for inverters/drives, encompassing addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and delivering comprehensive solutions
  • Conduct technical trainings/seminars at consultants/end-users’ premises including Japanese clients
  • Perform site troubleshooting and LV drive commissioning
  • Organize in-house training sessions for the Sales and Marketing teams
  • Assist the sales team in regional distribution network expansion;
  • Able to compose bill of materials based on tender specifications
  • Provide customer support by responding well to customer technical questions and understanding customer technical requirements to propose optimal solutions to strengthen customer relationship and trust
  • Prepare and/or translate technical manuals/ articles received from HQ Japan, requiring proficiency in Japanesn Japanese
  • Establish a technical database and conduct market studies for insights feedback

Accountabilities

  • Prompt response to end-users/distributors technical enquiries;
  • Keep awareness of new product launch and acquire its technical knowledge
