Responsibilities:
· Prepare and cook meals (i.e. lunch, tea and dinner) according to planned menu and / or specific diets of the residents whenever required
· Ensure ingredients for meals are properly cooked and kept in a most hygienic condition
· Ensure quantity for every meal is sufficient for the residents and the staff to prevent wastage
· Responsible for washing of cutlery/utensils after every meal
· Ensure cleanliness at food preparation area, stove, kitchen floor, utensils, cooking equipment etc.
· Maintenance of refrigerator in the most hygienic condition (wash, clean and clear expired/rotten food)
· Perform stock take (count and record cooking ingredients / items taken out from store)
· Responsible for the ordering of all raw ingredients/dry goods/provisions/ for cooking weekly (including daily vegetables and meats)
· Person in charge for the keys to the store, refrigerator and dry goods cupboard
Requirements
· Primary/Secondary School/GCE 'N' or 'O' Level, Professional Certificate/NITEC
· Minimum 1 year working experience
· Possess a current basic food hygiene certificate would be an advantage.
· Motivated with positive attitude to learn
· Cooperative and helpful with other team members
· Able to work shifts, weekends, eve of public holidays and public holidays
